Do you have AWS Cloud development expertise? Do you thrive on managing your own projects? If so, read on!
As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will build download capabilities within AWS cloud services as part of a 8 person team. You will be focused on both UI work and backend policy work. The ideal candidate deploys their own code to the cloud (and not a DevOps person).
This is a 12 month contract, with a high likelihood of conversion to full-time employee (or contract extension), including taking over Visa if necessary. This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a cloud environment
- Protype and validate implementation strategies and options
- Port functionality from existing systems to the AWS Cloud
- Utilize different technologies within the cloud to produce the top results
- Design, prototype, evaluate, develop, and test software for computer systems running on the cloud by applying computer science principles.
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Implement applications CI/CD pipeline using the AWS CI/CD stack
Required Experience:
- Expert in AWS and Java
- Advanced knowledge of Python, Linux OS, shell scripting, and GitLab
- Experience working on complex distributed information systems
- Self-driven to complete development work
Desired Experience:
- Property and casualty insurance experience
