Insurance Business Analyst III
Are you able to deep dive into the details of a project while working under crucial deadlines? If so, Smart Solutions has a project that will require an Insurance Business Analyst III to engage in client discussions and capture requirements and specs based on interaction with business users. This project will last over the next three months (with the possibility of extension and possibly conversion to a permanent role). This role is based out of New York, New York, and it will start as a remote role due to COVID-19.
Job Description:
- Join in client discussions and capture requirements and specs based on interaction with business users
- Document requirements and secure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Work very closely with business units and the technical development teams on all projects
- Engage in Requirements definition sessions to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
- Run meetings and presentations to extract requirements and review feedback with stakeholders
- Conduct requirements analysis and documenting and communicating the results
- Produce Business Requirements and Data Requirements to ensure the solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Act as a liaison between Business and Technical teams
- Manage competing resources and priorities
- Monitor deliverables and secure timely completion of projects
Experience Needed:
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis for P&C Insurance
- Understanding of various personal and commercial lines of P&C insurance products, such as auto, property, general liability, workers compensation, and other miscellaneous P&C products in the current market, and their business processes and compliance rules in various markets
- Familiarity with insurance systems and processes
- Capacity to gather, analyze and document insurance data requirements
- Ability to understand and translate user needs into business specifications
- Ability to influence stakeholders and partner with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
- First-class verbal and written communication skills to interact with business and technical teams
